Camino Francés

in the autumn of 2020, I walked the 500-mile Camino Francés, which is the best known of the many Caminos that make up The Way of St James. It runs from St Jean Pied de Port, a medieval village in the foot hills of the French Pyrenees to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in the west of Spain. It was a spectacular, tough, awesome journey which took me about five and a half weeks.

500-Mile Walk for Curlews

On Anglesey

On Anglesey

In 2016, I set off on a 500 mile walk from the west of Ireland to the east of England to find out why curlews are disappearing. Lots about the curlew on other pages, but here are some photos of the trip. It tool me over 6 weeks. Ireland and the Uk are beautiful, diverse and full of kind people - worth remembering.

You can find more details of the walk here.
