In order to review the situation in Wales, where a decline in breeding Curlews has also occurred, a one-day workshop was held at Hafod a Hendre, the Royal Welsh Agricultural Showground, Builth Wells, on 24 January 2018, with the support of Natural Resources Wales, the Welsh Ornithological Society, Curlew Media, the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, RSPB Cymru and the Ecology Matters Trust. The workshop was opened by conservationist and TV presenter Iolo Williams.
